An amazing modernist design from 1933
Stunning is the machine age Majestic model 59 Studio radio. It is one of the unique and best art deco radio designs of the time period. Manufactured in 1933 as part of Majestic’s “Smart Set” line of futurist radios and first exhibited at the Century Of Progress Worlds Fair in Chicago. This example had the ebony top refinished at some point. The chassis is complete but unrestored. It is complete with the original grille cloth and knobs and the aluminum grille is in excellent condition.
