Philco Model 444 Peoples Set Bakelite Radio

A quirky and unique design, Ca.1936

This great original example of the Philco model 444 “People’s Set” was manufactured by Philco UK, Ltd Ca.1936. The ebony bakelite cabinet is in perfect original condition with no cracks, chips or repairs. The chassis is clean and complete including the correct original British valves. The set is complete with the original grille cloth and knobs. Overall this is a great example of a hard to find radio.
